Discovery is a re-release of Joshua Rich's first solo piano album. Much of the album was composed while he worked as a musician/performer on a cruise ship. Many of the compositions were inspired by the festive enthusiasm of travelers on a voyage, offering upbeat and light-hearted melodies, while others were inspired by the tranquil, meditative expansiveness of the sea. The album has a timeless allure - giving the listener the opportunity to journey through time and space in a romantic, reflective, and joyful way.
